After the Experience Machine crash landed into our backyard, one of the collectives--we call him J3FF--found a signal nearby. It lead to an abandoned building in Upland.
What was strange about this place was what was left behind. Everything seemed to be in workable, though dusty, condition. We discovered that the building once belonged to the Castro family. Apparently, they believed that they had discovered the power to actualize the contents of their imagination, and called their workshop the Mind Suite. The nanobots of the Experience Machine, however, deduced that they might have inadvertently discovered a way to cross universes, using their brain waves to dictate where they would go in spacetime.
The only evidence we had of the Castro Inventors were two portals that they left behind. One led to a fantastic flying metal ship, in a world where it seems that advances made on the back of electricity instead gave way to those of steam. The other lead to a boat shipwrecked on a forsaken island. We can only hope but wonder where they've gone...
